"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
– Margaret Mead
TAKING BACK OUR NEIGHBORHOODS.
Many candidates talk about how they will make life better once they’re elected. Why wait?
Cinthia’s campaign is not just about winning an election. It’s not about what she’s going to do when she makes it into office. It’s about what we can do today to be the change we want to see in the world, and we’re the team making it happen.
Who are we? We are those who dream of cleaner neighborhoods. We’re those upset by how police interact with our neighborhoods and how our neighborhoods interact with police. We’re your neighbors, your colleagues, your friends.
Every week we ask ourselves what kind of community we want to live in, and then that weekend we get together to make it a reality through service. Sometimes it’s something small – like picking up trash. Other times it’s bigger, like bringing the Head of the Police Union together with People of Color to brainstorm ways we can reform community policing.
We can’t do it alone, though. We need people willing to join us in improving our community, whether that’s volunteering, donating Gatorade for those doing park cleanups on a Saturday morning, or simply letting us know what needs done in your neighborhood, we need your help.
